Brian trained and worked in Emergency Medicine in Galway, Belfast, Portland (USA), Auckland (NZ) and has subspecialist interests in trauma and sports medicine.

In his downtime he is an avid cyclist, sea swimmer, and enjoys playing guitar and sings in the hospital choir.
